You beat me to it, I was going to say I didn't know there was a Hydrocon 50 tonner. I worked on some smaller ones over the years.

Nice pic Fred , was beginning to form a theory that 1960s Hydrocon Telescopics all had Albion's LAD cabs and lattice jibs had Hydrocons own cabs but I'm obviously wrong .

Used to see Search about more often with Cherry pickers on lorry chassis and cabins for Hire - Sheffield depot was/is near to Supertram maintenace depot at Attercliffe

Think they are still going as went past there HQ in Leeds last year were they had a yard full of cabins and a small cranes boom was just visible but did no have camera with me & it was all parked up solid for the Football down the road so no room to stop and have a look

It was bought in by a short lived firm called manx Crane Hire and then bought by Juan Cannell Plant Hire. I used to drive it for both owners.
