Worked with Clem Brassington, Mick Neeley, Roger Dowin, and many more.

Re: Help ----BCHC 1968 TO 1972
Thanks for that Craig had seen them previously but nothing from BCHC, the Gottwald shown is probably a 50t.
I was 20 when I started in Wharf Road 1966 and drove the yard crane with Barry Kinsella until I was old enough to go on the big mobiles. (Had to be 21)
Started as third man (grease monkey) with Frank Owen on the Coles centurian 100t. Then went with Mick Neeley on the 105t .
Then with Clem Brassington on the P&H 120t, terrific road machine, knock along at 50mph on the A1.
Clem got the new Gottwald 165t and I went as his second man. Awesome machine biggest mobile in europe at that time.

Just revisiting previous post, has anyone got any info on Richards and Wallington (BCHC) Acocks Green, big mobile cranes of the mid sixties to early seventies, particularly P&H 120t and Gottwald 165t.

Hi Mel, I worked for BCHC in the mid 70's out of Portrack Lane depot, Stockon-on-Tees. As did my late uncle (Wynn "Taffy" Humphreys) in the 50's and 60's, I've been trying to find photos of his old 100t Coles on the internet. I know his good mate and 2nd man Billy Sanders had album's full of BCHC photos but don't know what happen to them after he died some time ago. I suspect they may have moved onto another old friend and 2nd man Peter Casey, but I lost contact with Peter many years ago. I also worked with Clem Brassington from time to time when he had the Gottwald AK 680 for Scott Greenham in the 80's.
