type of 1970s crane?

Post #1 by dundee101 » Fri Feb 25, 2022 9:49 pm

Hi All,

my dad was a crane driver and as a lad in the 70's occasionally on a Saturday I would go to the site with him. I remember he worked for Dawson's sutton coldfield and then stewart plant in scotland. I would get to sit in the cab between his legs (must have between 5 or 6 at the time)I remember to slew the crane there was a lever at each side of the window. can anyone shed any light on the type of crane it might have been? many thanks

Hi Patrick welcome to the site  what details if any can you give us about your fathers crane? Was it a truck mounted crane, or a multi-axle crane, hydraulic, cable, lattice jib etc? Did he have any old photos that could help out or has anybody on here heard of the above crane/plant company?
