welcome to this site Stephen. I, for one would be very happy to see more photos and information about MHM,foxlift forklifts,KD trucks etc.

Hi, I've looked out some old pages and scanned them for everyone's information. The initials MHM stand for Multi-purpose Handling Machines, this being the name of the powerscreen subsidiary set up to manufacture them. The forklifts mentioned in the posts above manufactured by Finlay were also produced under Noel Kelly's tenure there, he also produced a similar machine called the Foxlift in the early 1970's,

In 1997 I purchased an early one of these machines and restored it. Two photos are below. One of the two machines mentioned above as being owned by JJ McMahon was sold by myself to them in the early 1990's, and was one of the two first machines to be manufactured. I will dig out a demonstrator picture of the machine showing it to have a Newage front axle and a Hamworthy rear, the hamworthy was not always up to the job, and JJ McMahon's machine still had the uprated change when I sold it. Incidentally it was the last machine to be reconditioned by KD Trucks, the company started by my father in 1978 or 9 when he left MHM. I wonder if that machine still exists?,

it's bad news about mcMahon's machine as i believe it was cut up about six weeks ago.However this early telescopic from their yard has survived

Does anybody know anything about these Kalmar RTFLs that look similar to Sambron designs?

I believe that Kalmar bought out coventry climax and they are the old coventry climax tough terrain (TT) forklifts. Im sure I've some brochures of them somewhere
