Telehandlers

Post #1 by Forksni » Sat Aug 25, 2007 9:33 pm

A few pics of telehandlers I have operated since getting my old CTA license in 1999 (now the CPCS card, though I aint going to express my views on that disaster of a scheme!!!!!! :dizzy: ). Some I have no pics of unfortunatly esp the Komatsu WH716 & Manitou MT1637SLT, both brilliant machines to drive. 8-)

Hi Bryan,

Good to have you onboard!!

I am mainly an Excavator operator and have been for many years but on a job last year I was asked if I wanted to do an "in house" Telehandler course so I thought "Hey why not"!!

I hadnt operated one since my days at Wimpeys in Southampton way back in the late 70s early 80s when we had some of the early JCB 520s and Sanderson SB75 rigid mast forklifts but it all very soon came flooding back to me.

Not something I would fancy being on all day but handy to have a ticket for them :dizzy:

Here are a few pics of the training day.

PS.. Please spread the word about this great new site

Heres a shot of a JCB 531 telehandler that was on display at the recent CBL demo day in Cornwall.

Here is a shot of a new telehandler that has just been hired in on our site from national rental outfit Selwood.

It is a Manitou 1030 seen here towing a dust supression water bowser.
