Side-loader forklift

Here we go, another mystery...

In a previous post, I mentioned about a side-loader forklift which is currently at the Swan Hunter's yard at Wallsend. Well, this is it, not a large unit by any stretch of the imagination but somewhat special to me as I don't see many of them. In anycase, it was there so I snapped it! Photographer of fortune or something...

I've seen it carrying sleepers, a few I-beams and so on. If its a Swan's owner machine, I'd imagine some timber yard or builders merchant would be quite happy to snap it up.

Best regards

Gavin

Theres some Boss ones on the M1 between JCT27 and JCT26 going southbound. Helping to put crash barriers on the hard shoulder.

I've got one of those, the second post with the old 4 ton, mines a 1972 with a 4.236 perkins in it, a pile of junk really but it does one thing well- gets long beams through doors. Couldnt do that with the telehandler without a lot of timewasting slinging and stropping. Some of them had the ford engine.
