i saw a picture in the farmers weekly of luke furze pushing his silage trailers on maize harvest with a d6m lgp they had some truck tyres on the blade :dizzy: still could not have been too nice for the rear of the trailers

You're quite right, Furzeys trailers didn't like being pushed, heard had 3 written off by end of season due to chassis being buckled from pushing because that piucture was not the first and last time they resorted to the dozer, think followed them for most of the season in the end. Maize was absolute 'mare last year.

If i remember rightly the artice in Profi, that 'triax' was a one off show piece and at the time there was no plans for it to be put into full production. Not entirely convinced that machine working in youtube vid is actually a fendt!, going by the comments (what you can decipher of them) seems it is a machine made in eastern europe that fendt have made their own version of.

yes, that would make sense.....there's a limit to how much you can get out of a conventional frame tractor - i don't think anyone would have ever dreamed technology would have seen 350hp without going to articulated models, the one thing that Fendt don't (didn't) have.......mind you, reckon you'd have hellish compaction with it, plus would cost a fair bit more than a similar STX or Deere (3rd drive-train)
