The cab looks much newer than the tractor, 'bout time the rest was treated to a respray!

Rome wasn't built in a day you know...! Still earning its keep I'm afraid and not really one for paint jobs to be honest. Cab got vandalised whilst parked on site, they did all the windows in for me which was nice  . When it came to putting new glass back in the frames were rusty under the seals so I had to sort that and cab got rewire and makeover in the process. With nearly 8000 hrs on the clock the dual power rattles a bit on tick over and she breathes a little after after a few hours work but still fires up a treat and it only needs the button in when the temp gets near zero at night.

Just finished restoring it. Its a 1967 County 654, been working all its years in forestry in Norway. Must have been sitting for 15 years when I got it. Engine was seized and I've done quite a lot of work for it. Next on the list will be restoring the front blade and rear winch. I will restore this to a forestry tractor. They were not popular here for agricultural use, but had huge success in the forests. The setup on the Highland Countys are based on the equipment used in Norway.

Regards,
Frode

There's a part of the DVLA website where you can put in a reg no. and make, and it will tell you if it's taxed or when it was last taxed. If it's yes, or recently expired you'll have an idea if it's still alive or not. You could also enquire with Mark Osbourne at Ower with any details you have to see if he has any record of it.
