ih 444
ih 444
just bought property and it came with an international harvester model 444 and brushhog, i have never driven, much less owned one. sadly, no manual. i figured out how to raise and lower the deck, but unsure how to engage the pto. does anyone have a pdf manual for this tractor? also, i think it may have a hydraulic leak because the pto wont hold the deck up. any help would be appreciated.

Re: ih 444
I don't anything about that model of IH but I expect there is a lever on the side of the transmission somewhere and likely you will have a 2 stage clutch on the pedal. Depress the clutch and you might even feel it. Some tractors can have a lock out plat to stop the 2nd stage being used when not required.
When you say the hydraulics will not hold up I assume you mean when the tractor is not running?
Look at this. Looks like the engagement lever will be on the left of seat.
