Post #1 by martyn williams » Sun Jul 27, 2008 10:37 pm

Took the family to Welland show today. Found some interesting tractors at the event.Even a couple of jumping jacks being demonstrated. Also had a good chat with Shiela Dibnah.
Some pictures.

Great pictures Martyn, looks like a very big and interesting show, similar to the great Dorset steam fair, but presumably not quite as big !
I will have to put it down on my agenda for next year !

Hello John
Its a big show with over 200 stalls. The main drawback yesterday,it was very hot, must have been 30 degrees with not many places to cool off.
Good display of Caterpillars,D5 and D4E plus a D2.
Great to see the show do well after last years washout.

Looked like a great show Martyn. Enjoyed your photographs displaying not just fine machines but welcome wall to wall blue sky!! Regarding the Chamberlain 'Doe' photo, did you manage to identify the power unit types?

Hello Dave, its a show well worth going to see.Don't know much about the Chambelain. Will have to look up some info on this powerfull looking machine. The weather was good, but much too hot to walk around a huge showfield.
