I'd forgotten these!
This sequence of photos was done in the early '80's as a result of a college tutor saying I couldn't plough. I finished up teaching my own group of students for the season!

How do you fill the furrow in at the end ??? not many people around that plough in Australia anymore sort of a dying art which I have skill at

nice job there......straight as well....is it me eyesight or did the last furrow go a bit wide? :shifty:


Paul, you can't fill the last furrow but the penultimate run is half ploughing depth, then the final run takes the rest of that furrow out plus an inch from the same furrow. I think 7" is the norm if you usually plough at 6".

I don't think that in all the years I did match ploughing there was ever a finishing furrow of mine that you couldn't bury a cable in!
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.
