If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.
Re: MF 130
Hey,
the problem is that there was much water in the rear axle case
First of all the farmer said to me: " Daniel look at the brake in the rear axle. There is oil on the brake disk. What meens that the sealing betwen ´rear axle and transmision must be defective."
So i startet do dismount the rear axle housing. But at the dismounting i see that there was much water in the planetary case. But no Oil
So there must be a big leakage at the axle housing.
But why i need the Documents, the drive shaft from beginning of the axle housing to the planetary case has very much "endplay"/"axial-play". I think this is the reasen wy the sealing to the brake was broken.
I want to look in the manual if it's ok or not.
sorry for my bad english
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the pictures. Unfortunately I can't help you with the information you want, hopefully someone else can.
I have to admit I had no idea the 130 axle was different to the 135!
And don't worry about your english - it's far better than my german!
Regards, Rob.

Re: MF 130
Not a common tractor in the UK. I think they were French built. Less power than the 135 but with more modern axle set up. You could try on one of the farming forums, there are some very very knowledgeable MF guys on TFF and BFF. It may be similar to the 65/165 dry brake type?
