the yard was only a few fields away so they were only using 3 tractors
the pipe in the centre of the big wheel allows the driver to vary the tyre pressure
depending on the ground conditions

There's just something about cutting silage in the summer that you gotta love! I grew up watching silage been cut every summer on my uncles farm and other neighbours farms until I was old enough to get my licence and draw silage myself! Its amazing how much the machinary has moved on over the years from the days of old single axle wooden trailers and trailed harvesters. There was a time when it'd take the bones of a week to cut it all on a single farm but these days its all in in a day or two. Great pics again Darren.

Darren,

i agree with Homer, nice to see them so looking ofrward to 2011 season, any of the Mower set up,

it reminds me of the time i started my summer job with the first Wrapper which was brought into Ireland that was in 1986, needless to say i think the younger generation would be shocked to hear this was pulled witha a little 35, then we got a 35X with Dual clutch, as every time we moved forward for the nest bail the pump would stop when clutching, i also remember no cut and tie no back bail tail gate, and the short bloody hitch, oh the days i remember it so well.
Regards
