yes iam a bit pi**ed of we went out on friday with 2 low loaders and a cat 320 to recover it and left phone and camera in van at the yard :( :doh:

not good, right now as silage season just starts. looks like an old (relatively speaking) machine, did it happen on the road or in the field, any clues to the cause?....like Nick said it was a feirce fire.

it happened on the road but managed to pull on the verge it was dean millmans he said it happened all of a sudden and no idea where it started

Yeah had heard dean's had gone up in smoke, think i'm right in saying was phil strouts old machine, just spent a fortune overhauling it aswell, bet he's a bit gutted. should have stuck with the deere!!! Dont think it was that old (55 plate??) by the way the pick up and front tyres have escaped the worst of it i'd say engine bay fire.

it is sat in our yard all the tyres have had it ,it was caused by the brakes and it used to be steve bonds :thumbs_up:

Real local machine then, yeah can belive all tyres are shot, was meaning more the way the worst of the fire damge is at the back of the machine. How do they reckon the brakes caused that to happen? binding on? shorly they would have been stinking before that happened :dizzy: Dont think it'll be seeing a rebuild to finish season out watever!! :thumbs_up:

more than likely left the hand brake on,i saw this happen on a rape cutter,
he started off after his break and before he had gone 400 yards up the field
it was on fire,the hand brake was still on :oops:
