The Classic Machinery Network

This is the replacement grader to the 140H i was operating but that one has been taken away to go on another job, so this machine is doing the haul roads around the quarries i work in. It is a 96u serial number 14G and it has just had the transmission out to repair the handbrake but on Tuesday number 2 injector pipe broke so we are waiting for a new one to turn up. Not a bad mad machine with nearly 14,000hrs on the clock and being 30yrs old.

a very nice bit of kit you have there Jim.That was a very good model of grader which will be a hard act to follow.They are bomb proof and as a result will allways fetch strong money as they last for ever.It's final destination will be Africa probably once it gets sold.

I came back through Wotter today and way over to the right towards Plympton looks like there's a huge amount of earth being shifted, is that the new development for Sherford?

I live in Wotter Richard you should of popped in for a cuppa and said hello mate . That's actually where i work now mate , that's going to be the new Tungsten mine operated by Wolf Minerals. I now work for C A Blackwell and they have the job developing the site ie Haul roads ,muck shifting etc. We are not allowed to take pictures unfortunately due to sensitive nature of the project ( we were told this on our inductions) but this is a big job. thanks Jim. I had just been out to Lewdown to pick up some ducklings so thought going across the moors was a better proposition to doing the A38/Derriford route

There looked to be a fair old line up of machinery over there across the valley....but i was driving and looking round the countryside at the same time.
