Re: Cat 140G
Justin, the first driver i remember up Lee Moor was an owner/ operator called Mike Ellis from Cornwall. Mike had a Cat grader when he worked up there in the 80's and early 90's then he moved his machine back down to the pits down St Austell, where i saw him in Imerys china clays Melbur pit in 2004,driving a Aveling Barford grader. Then Gregory Bros had a Aveling Barford working maintaining the haul roads and that was driven by Steve Gregory, Later when Hydrex took on the contract they had Ex Alex Simms Plant hire operator Steve Drew who is first class operator. The only bloke i know that is called Dennis that worked there mate was a Imerys charge hand that's the only one i can think of.
