Hi, Alan627B.
I hope things are going well for you and all those around Omaha these days.

Thanks for the extra photos. Due to 'computer problems', I have been unable to access this site and several others for some months now. This was rectified a couple of days ago when the guy who owns the modem through which I now connect to the 'net finally replaced his old one which was the cause of most of his problems as well as mine.

It's not terribly surprising to me that my name pops up a bit in a Google search for these graders. With only 34 of them made, there aren't a whole lot of people who have ever operated one and I have never been backward about sharing my experiences and impressions of the jigger.

Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

There certainly was a G350 at Godkin with the RH300 and Wabco's - had a multi shank ripper.

There is no way the RH300 was at Nadins in 1995 - would have been moved to Godkin a long time before that (around 1981).

Bill Huxley mentions the G350 at Godkin in his book 'Opencast Coal Plant & Equipment'

I remember the RH300 and Wabco's coming past my parents house on low loaders on a Sunday Afternoon around 1981/82

I visited Nadins in 1998 - the prime movers were a RB 195B and P & H AL rope shovels with a O & K RH120C Face shovel and Cat 375 Backhoe. The site was operated by Taylor Woodrow not NSM/Coal Contractors

Hope this helps

Hi, Folks.
Just wanted to assure people that the machine in this link is alive and well and based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. As far as I can tell, it is the same one that I operated in 1996-97 in Hervey Bay, Queensland. There is a (faint) possibility that it may even have brakes now. It didn't have any back then 'cos some clumsy clot - BEFORE this one - had stepped on the plastic brake fluid reservoirs and busted 'em - BOTH of 'em.

Nice to know that at least has so far escaped the scrap man's gas axe.
