Who would have thought this would happen many years after they were withdrawn from service.
I am trying to fix it for this loco to run in South Wales on a steel train from Margam to Llanwern

Yes Martyn like you I am a great fan of the class 52 Western diesel hydraulics and like you say who would have thought that a loco that was scrapped back in 1976 would be hauling a freight train all these years later.
In many ways its great to see in others it shows the real decline of the railways, the sad thing is that we could probably no longer build any loco's with all the cut backs, even if we could you would struggle to get the steel to make them
I suppose we will see steam trains hauling freight trains next whats next horses and carts on the m1?
