If it's been on a job that's been running long hours it's quite possible! Our 2 year old ZX210-3 has 6 thousand hours on it! It's been in our crushing yard that works around 11 hours a day! The JS220 and PC130 I operate is a year older n we have reached 5k hours yet!

Joe we are only just in 2014 so if it worked 24 hrs a day 7 days a week for 6 months it would still only have 4300 odd hours and would make it a July 2013 machine ;) perhaps a late 2012 machine

Hi all.Yes,it was supposed to read a late 2013 ZX290/5,with 500 hours when i got it.I still have it,now with 5700 hour on it.Spotless body work side and well looked after. Those that are on facebook or Nick`s FB page will know its had some issues with the stick cracking on the bottom side welds, just above the bucket/q/h pin.Been welded 3 times in the last 18 months, under warranty by hitachi, and a local welder.Been fine since it was last welded.Reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, its only a 290,and might be better suited to muckshifting instead of working a quarry face and feeding my crusher. But cant fault it really.I`ve used a ZX470/5 feeding my crusher and a ZX350/5 while mine was being welded/parked up.The 470`s bucket was too big for my crusher really, and i didnt feel i worked any less keeping up with my crusher, and my daily tonage was 3300 odd ton with the 470.I can get 3500t through my crusher with my 290.The 350 was a better size machine, but the bucket was the same size as my 290`s(2cubic m)so only gained a foot or so of extra reach over my 290.A pic of my 290 a few months ago parked up next to its bigger brothers,a ZX670/5 and a ZX470/5.

2004 Hit ZX350,9556 hrs
2007 ZX350/3,6000 hrs,now with just over 10000 hrs!!!
