Tool hire/ Plant hire

Post #1 by zng109 » Wed Oct 05, 2011 4:06 pm

I was just wondering how many of you guys/ gals actualy work in the tool hire industry and how its going for you guys.
I have noticed that our local HSS and Speedy are on the financial decline and downsizing whilst our largest family run business is expanding and making record profits.
could it be that the age of the inteligent consumer has arrived? have people realised that they are being over charged for what is fundimenaly the same bit of kit but with a poorer maint history?
Likewise I have found that some of the big boys (name and shame time) Deborah services, Beaver 84 are entertaining cash customers for the first time, and most anoyingly at the same rates that they offer me (a slave to a multi national  )
why buy when you can hire?
