That could have gone better in a lot of ways,
there wasn't really much prospect at that angle (might have done better from the front)

New Yorkers have been bitching over snow clearence with residential streets (un-plowed) and so not only can they not get their cars out, the bins were'nt being emptied either.

it was nearly a week before the minor residential streets were cleared, obviously from the perspective from which it was filmed, we can't properly see the camber of road but all the same either a nudge from the front
or get that van out of range might have been preferable to just slipping sideways.

Take a look at this (worth it for the bus alone)

Yes Danny,
I appreciate what you say. I have spent many 12/14 hour shifts clearing snow over the years on wheeled snd track machines. Tyres or tracks can be a problem on ice but I think the "apliance of a little science" would have helped in this case.
Put the brain in gear before the machine!!

When i was on Recovery we used the winches - Then you can angle the pull and see whats happening at the same time. No matter what the weather we were expected to get there - recover it and return which we did - Funny no one thought we might get stuck just like they had :dizzy:
Putting a chain on at that angle and driving off is asking for trouble - unless i'm turning (or turned) into a grumpy old man :D

Australia has a nuke?

I know they lost the ashes but the Nuclear option seems a bit harsh ;)

Great find Steve

What got me was the total disregard the driver had about bashing into that parked car :dizzy:  me thinks he did not want to be snow clearing in the first place
