Work Boots,

Post #1 by tctractors » Sun Oct 07, 2007 10:14 pm

This might sound odd, but I am really finding it near imposible to find a "GOOD" set of running gear, extreme service work boots, the U.K. seems only interested in Fancy stuff, not good well made, long lasting up to the job kit, any thoughts or help I would be thankfull, from anywhare what ever the cost,

Hello Tony
Have you tried army& navy suppilies? Most boots are made in third world these days and leak or split after a few weeks. Try Ebay.
Cheers

Hi Tony,

I wear Cat boots but as I am an operator and am sat on my fat A*** all day I tend to be quite light on the old boots :dizzy:

Not sure how they would stand up to climbing up and down a D8 all day or wallowing in oil under a bellyplate!! :dizzy:

Not very well me thinks!!

Nick

Hi TC
Not sure what you mean by "extreme" safety boots - I have just gone onto my second pair of "Wetzler" glass industry boots - they are a lace up boot with a Stainless Steel membrane in the sole and they are waterproof - great boots at around AU$120 - they were made in Holland and distributed in Australia by BATA
Good luck
Ian
