After a 7 year battle the work has started on our flood prevention work.
It has taken 200 emails ,telephone calls and threats to dump rubbish at the council offices.
The contractor is Dyer and Butler, the job will take 6 months.
I will post an update of the work as it proceeds.

Re: DRAINAGE WORK STARTS AT LAST
The job is progressing well now that the weather has inproved.Next doors garage has been flattened to make way for the culvert.

Click on the first picture, the mangled fence was caused by a van hitting it and the traffic lights the previous night. The driver had been waving to someone when he failed to see the roadworks.
I am impressed in the manner in which the works has been carried out. They tidy up the site after each shift and clean the Hitachi excavator tracks.
They say that if things are done in a tidy professional manner, it will be a good job.
Will update every few days.

Martyn, is that a small house that is being demolished, or someone losing their garage?
