Reading a lot of articles in the press recently about Basement Extensions.
Would really like any information of how the works are done.
I class myself as well clued up on structural alterations ie taking out ground floor walls internally and externally, propping buildings above and inserting relevant steels.20plus years experience.
Not that I would ever contemplate doing one.
Just intrigued how they go about the works involved.
Really appreciate any information.

Re: Basement extensions
Can't help really, but was reading an article in the mail the other day when a incompetent builder did one on a ground floor flat and the whole house fell down .
I am a builder too. I would think it's just about reading drawings.

I am certain like any job there is possibly little more to basement extensions than reading drawings.
