Noooooo!!!!!

Post #1 by Hammer man » Mon Jan 11, 2010 10:33 pm

Just found out(at this time of night)that i`m having our JCB 330 on my crushing job in Shrewsbury   :arrrrgh: .
As some of you will know i had this machine for 6 weeks in late 2008 & did`nt rate it.It will be interesting to see how it fairs full time with the bucket as oposed to the hammer work i was doing at the time.
My ZX350 has not had its servicing & repairs done yet, after 6 weeks  .Workshop & fitters have been flat out getting the machines ready & onsite in Halecombe quarry.
Will update in a few days once i start work with the JS 330

Been in to unpack & set up the crusher.JCB now has 4500 hrs & looks like every man & his dog have driven it  .Also has the biggest bucket we have for it with looks about 1.5 c/m,much smaller than my 2.2 c/m bucket on my ZX350.We also have a Volvo L120E shovel, with i`ve told my firm is too small for the crusher output. But we have nothing bigger avalible.May well need a dumper too once we get half way through the job.Looks like a good few mths of work here,so will keep me busy.Back home now on standby for a few days as the quarry are blasting the shot monday for us.We are going to be opening up the main quarry to adjoing field area, where Walters are currently stripping over burden.
Looks like i`ll be able to get some good pics once we`re working.So far,i`ve seen 2 x PC210`s,a ZX350/3,what looks like a Cat 345CLME,& 6 or so Volvo adt`s,25,30 & 40E`s.And a few Cat D6`s or D8`s.Stokey also have a Cat 385 ME there too.
So back in mon to move the kit a bit nearer to the job site, the crushing tues.
Hopefully plenty of pics to come :)

Filthy inside the cab, filthy seat, windows ect.Plenty of scratches on the counter weight & body work,JS330LC decals all peeling off the side doors & dipper stick.
Does`nt look like it did when i had it for 6 weeks in sept/oct 2008.

Hi Neil,
I saw Walters transporting the 385 up the M54 just before Christmas, big machine it is too!
Might have to come down with the camera. Are there any places to see the job from the public road? You know what Tarmac are like with the health and safety :dizzy:

I only saw the 385 briefly when i left. But its the closest i`ve been to one & it is sure big :) Looks bigger/chunkyer that our Hitachi ZX870.
The whole quarry is hidden from the main road.Although where Walters & i`ll be working is near to a farm, with local access roads.
Also, there is a public right of way/footpath/through the area where/near we are,so you may well be in luck.I could have a word if you`re interseted in coming :)
