Scale model JCB 3CX - what's the best option?

Post #1 by Markpj » Tue Aug 06, 2013 12:42 pm

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, so forgive me if this is something that has been touched upon before....

What options are out there for scale model 3CXs? I just bought a quick hitch and buckets from ebay and have just discovered that the Britains 1.32 model is somewhat lacking - it doesn't appear to have a four in one, extradig or moveable stabilisers. Is there anything that does? I've seen the JOAL before, but I think that's a 1.25 and will be too big for my buckets and I haven't seen any accessories that go with that.

Any comments would be appreciated, even if it's to tell me that a 1:32 with fancy bits I'm after is an impossibility!

Cheers.

Or alternatively, does anyone know of any sellers who provide JOAL attachments?

The 1/25th scale 3CX is the best model 3cx there is! Bsbplant on here did have a full set of buckets for it too!
There is a motorart 1/50th scale model too but that also doesn't have a 4-1 bucket and has non working stabilisers!

If you want to do an older version 3CX then get a NZG grey cab 3 CX and a Joal 4CX model with ome mods the 4 in 1 bucket from the Joal model will fit the 3CX then take the extending dipper fromthe Joal model and put it onthe NZG one lastly you can get a set of flip over forks and fit to the front bucket. I did oneofthese conversions a while back.

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated.

BSB plant - it was actually you I think that I purchased the buckets and quick hitch off. Those photos look great. Do you plan on producing anymore for the 1.25?
