I have the Siku Mercedes liebherr service van so thought I would add a truck to the collection.
I bought the Siku Mercedes Atego tipper with hiab.

A nice little model with some nice detail but the hiab arm is limited in movement.
I've stripped it down and stripped the red paint off the cab and tipper. The tipper needs some doctoring so it tips a little higher.
I've put a few coats of gloss white enamel on the cab today. It's still looking a bit cream rather than white so I will add a couple more coats.
Here it is so far.

It will be the weekend now before i put a couple more coats on the cab and start the spray job on the tipper body.
I have some Liebherr logo stickers to go on, just wondering whether it's worth lacquering over the paint after the stickers go on?

Re: Liebherr service truck project
Cab and tipper body are now painted and decal'd up.
This is my first attempt at painting and it's come out ok.

The tailboard bubbled a little so needs stripping an repainting.

Re: Liebherr service truck project
This project has been sitting there for a while, must get it back on track.
Might do a bit this weekend however I do have 3 weeks off work for xmas so plenty of time to get it done!

Re: Liebherr service truck project
Thought I should revive this and get it finished.
I have started at it again tonight, had to strip the white paint off the tailbord because it bubbled and I have stripped the original red paint off the HIAB base.
Will post some photos later.

Re: Liebherr service truck project
Not far off the finished article. Been working on it over the past couple of days and started putting it back together. Added a few decals and some brass hand rails/grabs to the back of the cab and on the headboard of the tipper.
I'm changing the Liebherr decals for CAT and I just need to put a coat of white paint on the tailboard.
I've had to touch up some paint chips so please ignore them
