INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER TD25C First gear model

Post #1 by martyn williams » Wed Nov 07, 2007 2:24 pm

I always look on Ebay for plant models.Got a bit of luck the other day. There was a new 1/25 scale TD25 and was open to best offer.Put my best offer in and to my surprise I got it, nearly half the price I have seen them for sale at some shows.Any saving is a good saving.
Its a great model with very good detail, the TD25 is a dozer of around the size of a Caterpillar D8H
Regards
Martyn

Hello Martyn:
Thats a nice collection there. How do you like the details on the First Gear models? It seems that they really give good value for the price.

First gear have released a pipelayer in 1/25 scale,it looks great.I intend to get the Cat D9 to add to the collection.I think the quality and price are unbeatable. The TD25 even comes with an operators manual.

Hmm I think I have. It rings a small bell in my head. But I cant remember where and how it really looked. 1:25th scale isnt really what I am interested in accually.

Yep Martyn, ebay has been a great source of my model Dozer collection and noticed you won a couple I was interested in. Just to mention that good bargains can be found from ebay USA, especially with the poor USD against the GBP. I netted a Norscott Mini model of the new CAT D7E (Electro-Drive) prototype that were being handed out alongside the real thing at the Las Vegas Plant Expo this year. If you can get a fair shipping price from the USA, it could well be a bargain. The interest in the model scene makes lighter work than messing around with the real thing now and then.
