Hi Richard and welcome to CMN that's some serious Lego you have there very good.

That's impressive, how long did it take you to build the Terex?

The Terex's first build took approx 4 months or so, after a show I stripped down the main super-structure and rebuilt it then put the stickers on it which then took a further 2 months.

The D9 on the other hand was a couple of days.

Those 2 aren't the only builds I have, just the rest wouldn't come in under the "earthmoving" tag.

Must take some patience to build a giant jigsaw puzzle like that.

Just trial and error. Some days you get a good run and you stay in the "zone" and and you look up at the time and 3 hours have passed, other days you get a mental block and don't achieve anything for the same amount of time, or worse go backwards. Had that problem multiple times on my most recent build, then once I had finished, realised I have totally stuffed up the scale I was working from. Looks fine, but is about 20-25% bigger than what its meant to be.
