I finally managed to get this one finished tonight, It was the lights that had been giving me a headache!
I made a fake load out of foam and hollowed out the underside to hide a 9V battery box.

Yes, Drilled 2 small holes just wide enough to get the wires through. Drilled them in the crease where the headboard meets the base then underneath ran the wires under the dump body towards the back and then doubled back along the chassis to the LED's. I should have got some photos of the wire routing but it's gone to it's owner now.

Thanks Martin - looks great.
Sorry for asking so many questions - seeing your work has inspired me!
When you added the rear railings to the WA800 (where there were none on the model), did you find it better to drill mounting holes or bond them on somehow?
Thanks again,
Dave

Re: Komatsu HD605 with headlights.
Do you mean the little ones on the side of the WA800?

Or the ones on top od the 900?

The ones on the 800 I had to drill small holes to mount them in and on the 900 the holes were already there from the plastic ones. I just had to be very precise on building the brass rails for that to fit into the existing holes.
