Liebherr R 970 SME

Post #1 by niner » Mon Oct 27, 2014 12:01 pm

Picked mine up yesterday for a really good show price at HEMS. Wow, what a model, they've pulled this one out of the bag.

Plan to fit a Gaz Evans Gjerstad Xtreme bucket to it.

They've really done a good job of this one. The detail is amazing for the price.

I will get some more detailed photos of it when the buckets fitted.

I want this sooooo badly! The zaxis870-3 they did is my favourite model of all time so this one is going to give it a run for its money after about some of the details!

It's pretty much on par with the 870 although i'd say that the 870 may have the edge on it. There are no opening engine doors on the Liebherr.

Edit:

After posting the above I went back to watch the Cranes etc review (I sold my 870 a while back) and in my opinion the Liebherr is a really nice model but the 870 is better. The opening doors and removable counterweight on the 870 make it!

Joe!

Your not the only one who wants this model so badly!! This is on the top of my Christmas list! I've been looking around at dealers to see the price and it looks a bargain. Such a great model.
Cheers
