Re: My Latest custom something out of the normal!
Wow looks great Joe well done; how long do you reckon it took you to complete and did you take any photos of the project as you were proceeding with it?

Re: My Latest custom something out of the normal!
I got the kit about a month ago but wanted to get everything I needed to complete the model! In all I would say that I've spent a good 15-20 hours on it! The painting took the longest as it needed about 5 coats of cat yellow!
I have one of the progress of the boom in mock up on the 320! I'll post that later!
Still got the decals to do!
Don't no wether to put a boxing ring on it or not yet!

Looking really good Joe. I take it by boxing ring you mean those mental handrails? I think it would good with some low level grab rails.

Re: Caterpillar 320D Coal Shovel
Good piece. It's a keeper for sure.
I worked on them lots. It's amazing how a good hand can break up a tennis Court size seam with little easy. I've seen them dig inter-burden with them as well.
Some Cats came with O&K retro fits. Plenty of bashed knuckles with the silly compression ring hose fittings.

Yes Martyn I mean the rails around the upper structure of the machine! I think I'm going to leave them off it! If I had seen one with them on then I might be tempted but I'd like to keep it as realistic as I can!
Ross
I too have seen them digging clay with them but only very briefly as they're had been a little bank slip into the seam and they just loaded it out to get it out of the way!
I had considered selling it but I think if I did I'd regret it so for the time being Atleast it's staying with me!
