I came across this kit just before Christmas and thought why not? There are very few plastic model kits on the market of plant of any kind so that was a good enough excuse for me to treat myself.
This kit is of Chinese manufacture but of a high quality; I did a 'dry run' assembly of the parts before attempting to glue them together and was very impressed by the quality of the way in which they fitted together, there was no need for lots of filing and fiddling about.
The kit offers three different versions of the machine, two IDF versions and one US Marines version, I haven't yet decided which one I will build.
The track links come in three pieces so lots of patience required, not my best attribute so I will let you know how I get on when I come to assemble them.
The kit contains some nice detail including a few photo-etched parts, all and in all I like this kit and would recommend it to other plastic modeller's.
I'm in no hurry to assemble this but will try and give updates as and when I advance with it.

Thanks Ian I was going to have suggested Ebay as a possible way to purchase this kit.

Re: Caterpillar D9R Armoured Dozer
Anyone interested in this model kit may want to get their hands on one rather sharpish, as MENG do not have a Caterpillar licence and were told to remove the model and all reference to it from their booth during toyfair. Until the licence is sorted, they are unable to continue selling the model kit.

Wow! How can they produce such a model without licences? Stupid?
Edit: now looking at the photos there is no CAT logo anywhere ...
