Rex Compactor ??

I found this compactor at my friends plant sales yard yesterday, I dont know very much about these machines?? Sure looked a big old beast though.

No doubt our friend IBH will be along with his encyclopediaic knowledge of all things plant & machinery to tell us more !!:mrgreen:

The Trashmaster compactors were built by CMI Rexworks who are now part of Terex and sold as Terex Trashmaster.

Nick, I recall seeing one of them REX compactors up on the Haul-waste [viridor now?] tip out the back of Kingsteignton several years ago

Hi a firm i worked for used one to compact excavations back in instead of a vibrating roller and dozer,we used to callit the pig. :lol: have a pic of it and i will try to find it out and post it.The oporator sits sideways in the cab :lol: .

When I worked for VHE they had a few, Detroit power and they worked well

The Pactor and Trashmaster products are now built by CMI Roadbuilding Inc.
