How big was the guy on youtube (just a thought)

According to what it says at the end of the video he is only 16! Now can I ask when you use the de-compressor levers on your dumper does the engine spin over easily or not? Because if the answer is not then I suspect that your dumper engine may have other issues?

Norman it could still be your technique? Watching the video again the lad who starts that particular engine does crank it quite quickly before dropping the de-compressor, unfortunately I am no expert on these engines although I do know that it was possible to start larger engines such as old Gardner engines using the de-compressors.

Hi one and all
Got the engine started today but only run on 1 cylinder fuel is up to the injector so reckon the injector needs a coat of looking at.
good points seem to be - no nasty noises or smoke.
hey ho here we go getting there

Norm, whip the "dead" injector out and see if it's the type which can be dismantled fairly easily. I just wish I could remember what's in there! Been there, done that and forgot all about it.....

It's my age, you know.

I don't think there is a standard for whips as there are so many potential variables.

As I see it, any whip will do. :D
