Can anybody Identify the following Benford Dumper

Benford Dumper
Model - ?
Year - ?
Capacity - ?



2-Wheel Drive - Rigid Frame
Manually Operated Skip
Seat is on the Right
Clutch & Drive - By 3" Wide Flat Belt (Green / Nylon) with Spring Loaded Idler Gear
Gears - Forward & Reverse only

Single Cylinder Petters Motor (AVA1)
Air Cooled
Hand Start
Motor Number - 2693 S (? - Does not seem to fit any Number Sequence)
Injector Pump (Cannot Read References)
Injector - Angled into the head (Not Horizontal) with Bleed back to the Fuel Tank

Drive Wheels - 5-Stud (6" x 16" - Implement Tyres)
Steering Wheels - 3-Stud (5.5" x 16" 3-Rib - Implement Tyres)

Petter Motor
The Petter Engine I/D Plate has been shotblasted so it is a little difficult to read but -
this is what it says

Type AVA1 STD
No. 2693.S STD
BHP 5.5 1650

By the description it sounds like you have a 15cwt type.

Thanks Pete,

As soon as I get it off its Axle Stands I will pose it for a photo

I cleaned out the Sump and Suction Filter on the Petter at the weekend

I had to get my hand inside the case and scoop out the sludge - much too thick to run out of the drain hole
Cannot make up my mind whether that was its First service in 50 years or actually its First Service - at least there is some oil going up to the Rockers now

Gearbox and Diff Unit next
