I recently purchased a very old Thwaites 6000 dumper (hence all my posts - sorry ), one of which was asking for a workshop manual. That thread was a bit short on replies so I contacted Thwaites directly who responded within a couple of hours.
I didn't have the machine serial number as it was worn away but they could cross reference it from the engine serial number
They were able to tell me exactly when it was manufactured, machine number and that it had originally been fitted with two gear sticks (it currently has one) all from a few pics. They also sent a workshop manual and parts list for a Thwaites 6000 MkII (to be added to the download section soon).
So a big thankyou to Chris at Thwaites for such a quick, friendly and detailed response. To quote...
"We do always try and be as helpful as we can be to anyone who owns Thwaites machines."
That's what I call 'after' sales service!
Thwaites - Excellent customer service
