Re: George Fowell OR Fowler Dumpers
Like most of these things I'd say weight x scap value as starting price.
Not all those who wander are lost.
Re: George Fowell OR Fowler Dumpers
Hi there, I have purchased one of these for my son and myself to restore all of the mechanical parts appear to be intact but I am missing the hopper off the front. Does anyone have the dimensions of the hopper with the rounded bottom and some close up photos to be used to manufacture a new part. I am in Australia and it is the first one of these I have ever seen. I will try to post some photos soon. The motor appears to be a Petter petrol and you sit on top of the motor, possibly a type 1 from the research I have done. Does anybody know the years of manufacture of the dumpers. Thank

I have attached the photos when it arrived home. Whilst cleaning and painting the chassis I found the chassis number. Our George Fowell dumper has chassis number A160 stamped into the lower half of the steering box mount on the right side and rear as per the photo below.

I will be visiting Canberra and Queanbeyan on Wednesday or Friday this week. Would it be possible to visit and get some dimensions for the hopper. I am down the coast at Bega. I have stripped the chassis down and resprayed it ready for reassembly and have started work on the motor. more photos coming soon.
