Help Wanted thwaites goliath 8ton dumper

hi there just bought a thwaites goliath 8ton dumper. Its got a ford 6d engine and runs a treat am well pleased with it. but the door has rotted away so am going to make anew one any one got any ideas where to get a door window. any fotos would also be welcome

Hi Martin. I've got a brochure i can scan in ,interesting machines with their rigid frame and rigid axles on turntables.

Here we go brochure pictures,possibly the only Thwaites GiAnt (their capitals) pics on the web, think this machine would still sell if it was on sale now. Note just to confuse their are three different door types pictured !,
I have a feeling the working picture of two together with different doors are prototypes.

Thanks Craig. yes think your right i have searched the net for photos and information but no luck. they look smart when new my one needs abit of a tidy round the cab. but sounds great with the big six Ford engine. Hopefully someone else will have some info. The ones in your fotos are "5ton Giants" my one is a "8 Goliath" but looks the same.
DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW IF THE AXLES ARE THE SAME ?

Absolute magic dumper. :thumbup: A mate had one some years ago mustard in the rain with the cab but its like sitting on the floor if I can remember! :lol: I would n't turn a good one down but they're hard to find. Good luck with the project.

Hi, does anyone know the manufacturer of the transmission used in Thwaites Giant dumpers? 5 speed forward and reverse.
