Identifying my dumper

Post #1 by Gavintimlin » Mon Nov 26, 2018 8:27 pm

I have my self a little dumper, it's benford, I think but I can't find an exact match to it, it's almost the same as a tf50 but the engine different than the drawings. Is there a model ID plate on the machine some where? And suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks all

Looks Benford to me. Engines might vary over time. Certainly Thwaites changed engines over the years and sometimes offered options.

Is there some tin ware missing behind where you are sitting?
If so that is possibly where the ID tag is

It has defo had some modifications before I had it I think the engine had been uncovered and a few bits have been welded on, thanks for the conimation. She had lost a little power and started blowing black smoke, any ideas o that?

Try new fuel and air filters and put a little fuel cleaner in the system and run it. Otherwise it might be getting too much fuel or the injector needs a service.
I start with the simple things first and work my way forward from there.
