JCB 1D dumper Workshop Manuals?

Post #1 by Jim Beagley » Mon Jun 11, 2018 5:34 pm

I have a 1960’s JCB 1D dumper with a single cylinder petter engine. The model on the chassis plate is listed as an A15D, serial number 100154. Does anybody have a Workshop manual, or and other information about these dumpers? Foutuntley, It’s in good working order, as I imagine parts are hard to come by, but it would benefit from a slug of grease and a lick of paint. Any info much appreciated! Thankyou!

Thanks Johnson Dumper for the technical data. I have just splashed out and had the Marles steering box overhauled by David Cornwallis in Leominster, who did a fantastic job and returned my steering box beautifully reconditioned and repainted. It looks brand new! And it steers exactly where I want it too! The problem now is that the rest of the dumper lets it down - might be time for a lick of paint...

Any photos Jim ? JCB 's early dumpers seem to be quite rare.
