thwaites orion dumper
thwaites orion dumper
Hi I wonder if someone on here might be able to help. I've just bought an thwaites orion dumper and while stripping down the brakes i have snapped off part of the thread on the brake actuator . The bit connecting up to the link bars that run across the axles. Can you get new actuators ? Does anyone know the part number and where to get them ? many thanks Steve

Hi Stephen and welcome to CMN my first thought at reading this is could you possibly drill and tap the broken thread? I am sure some other CMN member will have some advice for you.

Re: thwaites orion dumper
Hi Stephen,
The actuator is fairly standard across most Thwaites small dumpers with rod operated dry brakes.
I think it should be readily available.
You could try David Cornwallis at Leominster.
