Thanks John

Mine is showing a loy of play in the lower section.
Rubbing the bolt heads of what looks like a retaining flange for spherical bearing or bush.

I dropped the axle on my small 1500kg Benford Roughrider looking for wear and tare. The centre pivot pin and the bushes had very little wear but it would be a simple job to renew the bushes if required. You could use a hacksaw blade and make a cut along the bush and then tap it out or use the new bush to push the old one out but not recommended. There is a bearing shop near to me that has all sorts of bushes off the shelf so if I ever need to replace them I can buy one near the right size and machine it to size, instal and ream it to fit properly. Again if the pin had some wear I would either machine it undersize and make the bushes to suit.
Really not a hard job if yours is of the same principle a pin and some bushes. Tricky part is balancing the axle on a jack to lift it back up on your own. With help eay as.
Cheers Cobba
