Ok Folks,
This dumper thing has got to me and I have spent hours researching 1920s and 1930s back issues of "The Engineer Magazine" including show reports and supplements and I still can't find anything definite. :dizzy:
The first M-H dumper pic. is from the Public Works Exhibition 1937. :?

What I did find was a bit from 1933, ( just text sandwiched in between some other stuff, no pic). about the development of a dumper with a Ford petrol engine but no model number or capacity. :|
There were apparently to be two versions, both had a three speed and reverse gearbox and chain drive.
The one version had three gears going skip first and by turning the drive axle over so that the crown wheel was the other side of the pinion the other had the three gears going the other way , (engine first). :|
The seat and controls were also fixed on different sides so that it was always right hand drive in the direction of the three gears. :?
Do you think that could be this dumper :?: :?: :?: :?:

Fred it stands a fair chance as it is so rare and so old, must say I had never seen anything like it before.
