Hi Kevin and welcome to CMN
I'm sure that somebody on here will be able to identify your dumper, must say I have not seen one like that before.

It seems to be Muir hill or based on that. MH logo on the wheels and the skip chains and tilt all resemble the mh style. The engine and drivetrain are e83w based or that type of HP ford.
I just can't find any single bit of information or images

Unless the wheels have been robbed then it probably is MH but it must be quite early as it does not look like the 50s era. Fred on here might know? The other thing it is difficult to know if it is all original which can disguise things a bit.

Hi,
Sorry I cant give you any real ifo.
Only Muir Hill designed skips and tipping mechanism like yours and the pressings on the engine cowling strongly resemble those of the early industrial loader that M-H introduced in the late 1930s.
I can find no reference to your model. The first 2 yard machine appeared circa 1936 and this didn't resemble your model.
Could yours be a pre war prototype or experimental model
Maybe you've struck gold
The only other thing you can be sure of is that it's pre 1950s because your engine uses thermo syphon cooling, (it has no water pump).
Fords started fitting a water pump to these engines circa 1950.

Muir Hill 1938/9.

Interesting, but I don't think Massey Harris had anything to do with it.
Back in the day, Muir Hill always had the up and down arrow between the M & H or Muir & Hill.

I have the 2 and 2 1/2 dumpers in collection. Always wanted the 3 cubic with twin wheels and with floating axels but been told non survive in preservation. Just wish I could find what this little model is

Just had a look at a friends book on the history of Muir Hill, no pictures of anything resembling this dumper, the plot thickens!
