Hello All,
I'been in and around construction machinery most of my life, and have just aquired what I belive to be a Stothert and Pitt 1 ton dumper.
I haven't managed to find a manufactures plate or chassis number yet.
It has a Lister SR1 engine(1973,whch is backed up with the injector pump code confiming 1973 as the year of manufacture for the engine.)a Newage 40m gearbox,2 wheel drive, rear steer
It is right hand drive with an offset chassis to the left.square section back end but the rear bumper is missing.a clipped back end to the skip with an angled valance across the top and slight tapering of the front of the skip, the tilt mechanism is manual with a chain restrant.and no front pivot just a track that the skip rotates along,I will try to attatch some photos, but any infomation regarding this machine would be greatfully recived.
regards
Phil.
Ps,if I have posted in the wrong section please accept my apologies and move to the correct section

AFAIK Stothert and Pitt did not make dumpers till c.1980s and only made larger 4x4 dumpers , fairly sure this is a BARFORD BANTAM.

Re: Stothert and Pitt 1 ton dumper
Thank you gentleman,on further investigation of the dumper I have found 1st paint colour to be an off white and most of the reccess and hard to get to areas including the steering box and bell housing full of coarse sand of the type used in slow sand filters in the water industry, coupled with the limited damage and fairly clean apperance of the machine I belive it has spent its working life on a water treatment works somewhere.
The only difference to the above brochure is that it has a Lister SR1 engine and not a ST1.
Dose anybody know where I would find the chassis number?
Regards
Phil.
