New purchase... Nimbus ?

Thnks very handy you had all the same issues.

Did all filters yesterday but had some fuel/air issues. Eventually cleared it from workshop manual process but now she doesnt low idle so need to adjust throttle linkage to stop her conking out. Maybe now she has clean air fuel and oil it needs adjusting to suit!

I need to do Uj's too both ends and got the set you mentioned. Great help

No problem... My "Daisy" has been sat on one of the lawns this year, and hasnt moved. The brakes linkages have seized up now, and so need a look at...

Good luck with yours, they are a simple machine to work on, and the people here have helped me so much. Any hard to get parts, give David Cornwalis a call... He knows these inside out and has a farm barn store full of parts.

The low idle has a governor type system that keeps fuel flow up, when its about to stall at low idle. Its a crazy setup of springs and linkages....

Mine leaked oil like a sieve when I bought it, from many orifices.... You will get there, just take a little fettling

Had a 5min fettle with the throttle linkage & have sorted the low idle but having cleaned stuff up with a rag now oil is pouring out everywhere haha. Still winter is coming & much of my big work will be put on hold until spring so in about a month I'll get her in the garage & start a strip down as bought the full top gasket set to try & seal a few things up.

Will strip the brakes down then too & see if I have any pads left at all.

Took down an old forge in the garage today & she shifted tonnes and tonnes of bricks, couldnt imagine doing it with a barrow. She's well & truely paid for herself in 2 weeks already.

At least it wont rust with all the oil... Where is it leaking...

I had to replace the head gasket, then then the rear output shaft seal... I have to replace the front axle outer seals, but the shafts/hubs just wont budge...

Are the half shafts the type that are tapered and that's part of the difficulty with their removal.
