Twaites Goliath

Post #1 by Mech-a-nick » Wed Apr 08, 2015 11:47 pm

Hi, my first time on a forum such as this. I have just bought a Twaites Goliath dumper, I need a information, such as;
Is there a dumper or lorry etc. out there that uses the same master cylinders?
likewise re the steering ram, I could do with a good second hand ram.
Does any one have a workshop manual for one of these or at least for the Salisbury axles?
cheers
Nick

That is a rarity! Does that have all wheel steering? I digress you could do worse than phoning Thwaites direct and asking for some technical help. They seem a very helpful bunch and they might have some archived info. The Ford engine is getting harder to source parts for (apparently)

Yes it does have all wheel steering, and appears to have come from the factory as a "cabless" model. Engine is good, I've yet to sort out the gear levers which are sloppy. No noise from the axles, just horrible tin work!

My mate had one once and I used it a lot. Fantastic in their time and it had a cab! Good luck with it.
