I was working on this type of dumper in the early 1980's.The Liner name was taken over in 1991. The company I worked for were Liner agents.

Thanks for reply, the dumper I have was first registered in 1978. but came with a black and silver number plate, I am trying to find out when it was made to see if the plate type is incorrect or was it made before 73.

Posting a pic of your dumper would help . Would not pay too much attention to black and silver plate , plant often fitted with these in 70s and 80s , maybe it saved plant department 10p . :D
This is what Liner Dumpers looked like in 1972-

Hello,
New to the Classic Machinery forum.
I know that I'm a few years late to get into this conversation, but not sure where else to go.
I have attached a photo of our dumpy and one of the ID Plate, I'm hopping to confirm that I have and 1981 model dumpy with a lister ST2A.
Which leads me into how to find out what makes up the dumpy's drives, brakes, hydraulics etc.
Are there manuals for these model still available somewhere. Cobbadog in Australia put me onto contacting Multi-Marque to see if they can help but. I haven't got around to that one yet (next on my list).

Hope some one can help.

Regards Gordo
