Nigel, according to Castlebridge the CATS are a better deal all round than the Bells.

I was down at UK coals new site in Smalley nr Heanor in Derbyshire yesterday and they were carrying the coal in just normal 740's I have to say i was quite impressed with the size of these machines as id never seen one up close but one went over the crossing as we were walking back from the site and it looked huge!

Check out the workplaces section for more pics of the site!

How are the UK coals 740 coal haulers fairing after a couple of months of use?

Does anyone have more photos of them in the field (or in an open cast mine!)

Heres a 740 coal hauler from the Shotton OCCS, nice looking machine to me especially with the coal body fitted 8-)

Regards

that is one of the many 740's converted by banks on site to haul coal, these trucks originally stripped the site of soil when the job firsted kicked off, the volvos that banks recently bought have been trouble..
